The Embassy of Peru Commemorated the 205th Anniversary of National Independence with an Official Reception in the Kingdom of the Netherlands

On Tuesday, July 21, the Embassy of Peru in the Kingdom of the Netherlands commemorated the 205th anniversary of National Independence with an official reception held in The Hague. The event brought together high-ranking officials from the Dutch government, representatives of International Organizations, members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives from the business, academic, and cultural sectors, as well as members of the Peruvian community residing in the Netherlands.

The reception included a selection of renowned Peruvian cuisine and a tasting of pisco sour, Peru’s national drink, which was highly appreciated by the guests. The event unfolded in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, reflecting Peru’s firm commitment to continue strengthening its relationship with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and to further promoting its cultural richness, heritage, and opportunities for cooperation and development between the two countries.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Peru, H.E. Ms. Franca Deza, emphasized the excellent state of bilateral relations between Peru and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, based on mutual trust, high-level dialogue, and a shared vision of strengthening the multilateral system.
