Holocaust Remembrance Day 2015

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2015, H.E. Haim Divon, Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Timothy Broas, Ambassador of the United States of America and H.E. Ole Moesby, the Ambassador of Denmark hosted a private screening of the documentary NIGHT WILL FALL, at movie theather Pathé Tuschinski Buitenhof, The Hague.

Directed by André Singer and narrated by Helena Bonham Carter, regularly relies on interviews with British army photographers who first entered Bergen-Belsen and some of those they liberated.

A documentary film made in the aftermath of the Holocaust with the involvement of famous director Alfred Hitchock using real footage taken by Soviet and British soldiers while liberating concentration camps. The original documentary titled ”German Concentration Camps Factual Survey” was meant to be shown to the German people in the aftermath of the Holocaust. However the documentary was suppressed due to ”the changing political situation, particularly for the British. This Holocaust documentary highlights the continuing importance of testimony and remembrance.
